Charles Bernstein is a poet, essayist, and scholar. He is a member of Language poetry movement with an interest in experimental poetics. Bernstein is the author of works such as Pitch of Poetry, Near/Miss, and Recalculating.

Ofelia Zepeda is Tohono O’odham scholar and poet. Her scholarship includes literature on the grammar of the Tohono O’odham language, explorations of nature, and writing about the life of the Tohono O’odham. Zepeda is currently a teacher at the University of Arizona. Her works include A Papago Grammar, Ocean Power: Poems from the Desert, and Jewed’I-hoi/Earth Movements, O’odham poems.
